Eastman took a unique path to OVC, completing a double major in Anthropology and Biology at McGill University. He believes the combination of arts and science is important in veterinary medicine, bringing together applied sciences in biology and medicine with the importance of communicating effectively with clients and working as part of a healthcare team. He recognizes the public is interested in understanding how our food gets from farm to table and is looking forward to explaining the important role veterinarians play in that process. He is heading off to Levin and Horowhenua Veterinary Services in Levin, New Zealand for his externship, during the country’s busy calving season.
